Kenny G Live Concert in Malaysia
Kenny G Live Concert in Kuala Lumpur 2011 is happening on the 24th May at the Planery Hall, Kuala Lumpur Convention Center. With a recording career that spans almost three decades and 23 albums, Grammy Award-winning saxophonist Kenny G has grafted elements of R&B, pop and Latin to a jazz foundation solidifying his reputation as the premiere artist in contemporary jazz which is well accepted the world over. From spas to hotel lobbies, homes to karaokes, Kenny G’s music has been there, done that.

Ever since a teenager, I have heard and followed some of Kenny G’s early works namely his super famous song ‘Song Bird’ which has been a household name here in Malaysia. His full name is actually Kenneth Bruce Gorelick and is 56 years old this year. Born in Seattle, Washington and started playing the saxophone at 10 years old, Kenny G earned a place in the Guinness Book of World Records for playing the longest note ever recorded on a saxophone in 1997. Kenny G also plays the Selmer Mark VI Soprano, Alto and Tenor Saxophones. He has created his own line of saxophones called “Kenny G Saxophones”. He is also married to Lyndie Benson, with whom he has two sons, Max (age 16) and Noah (age 11).
